The Navy men are ranked 9th, according to the radio broadcast of the race, and finished the 2000 meter course about 9 seconds behind the 3rd ranked Huskies. The Navy women finished about 15 seconds behind the #1 ranked Huskies, and I felt they made a very strong showing. About 20 members of our Parents' Club cheered them on from the banks alongside, and from the bridge above the course. It was a whirlwind 3-day visit for the crews. They arrived Thursday evening, spent part of the day Friday taking some finals (according to rumor), and left for the airport from the crew house immediately following their races early this afternoon. It was great to see them here, we just wished there had been more time, as we did not have time to meet and greet them, and we would like to have done so.
