I posted a question on the web concerning regulations on women's lacrosse
sticks on Jun 8th. Are there any parents of lacrosse mids who can tell me if
there are regulations on color or type of lacrosse sticks that my '07 plebe
can bring? Do we bring her stick on PPW? She even posted an e-mail to coach
and we have not received a reply. We would appreciate any input.

My son will be on the swim team this year. Does anyone know if he can or should bring any suits/goggles/etc. with him this summer or for this fall? Will he be issued everything he needs for practice? Any information anyone has regarding the program will be appreciated.

For any 2007 athletes who have been recruited to play it is best to talk
directly to the coach about what to bring with them. (email works great and I
believe all coaches are listed on the navysports.com page.) I am sure they will
have him bring all of his gear with him and leave it in the locker room -- and
swim suits are issued to all plebes since they have to pass a swim test
during plebe summer.

I suspect he can stock up his swim bag and drop it off at Lejeune with the coaches the day before I-Day.

That's how it worked for the women's swim team for my daughter's I-day/Plebe summer.

I want to thank everyone for their response (and apologize for not doing this sooner!) Everyone has been so helpful. My son had attended the swim camp at Navy a couple of years ago so he met Coach Roberts when he was an assistant. Danny will remember him; don't know if Coach Roberts will remember Danny.

I've seen the Athletic Asso swimming website but was wondering if there was a way to get complete meet results? All I've ever seen are summaries.

My son, Michael (class of '07) received a very nice letter from the golf
coach (whom he had met on a previous trip to the USNA). The coach invited
Michael to bring his golf clubs and store them in a locker at the golf
course. He told Michael in the letter that Michael would have the
opportunity to spend his intramural time at the golf course practicing
hitting and putting, etc. and eventually try out for the golf team.

My questions are these: Any advice on what to bring? Any advice on
trying out for the team? Any info/thoughts/stories you want to share
would be greatly appreciated!

The USNA Athletic Association has published a really great Fan Guide on it's
web site. Check out this link...

http://www.navysports.com/info/tickets/fan_info_guide-2002.pdf

It has tips and explanations on all things related to attending a football
game at Navy/Marine Corps Stadium including where to park your bus if you
come via Greyhound.

It also contains a COMPLETE LIST OF ALL NAVY SPORTS, THEIR COACHES' NAMES
AND THEIR PHONE NUMBERS. From Baseball to Wrestling. It a great resource
and is presented in PDF format so that you can print it out for reference
all year long.

Just a head's up.
