To All.

We have had an urgent request from the PAO Office at the Academy to find a
copy of the ABC Nightly News feature about I-Day that was run within the
last week or so .

Any help would be appreciated...we have heard from members who tried both
their local affiliates and the national news offices to get a copy to no
avail. We are hoping that a west coast member was able to tape the program
and still has their copy.

Please do not call the PAO Office directly, but instead contact either Mike
or me to let us know and we advise what to do.

To All,

For the fourth time in the past couple of weeks, an email with the
VBS.KakWorm virus attached has been sent to the Lists.

Our server generally will filter out the virus so that it is not
transmitted to our members

BUT...

PLEASE!!!!!

Check YOUR own system to see if you have this virus, so that the next time
you send a message, you will NOT be inadvertently spreading it!!!

The easiest way to do this is to click on "Start" at the bottom of your
screen. Click onto "Find - Files or Folders" and type in: KAK.HTA

Then hit "Find Now"

If your computer finds this file, go to:

http://www.norton.com/avcenter/venc/data/wscript.kakworm.html

To see how to remove this virus from your system.

Some of you will find that you will need to contact your ISP Tech support to
get the infected email removed from those waiting to be sent to your
inbox...or it may not be deleted and your ISP will continue to try to
deliver this infected message and will prevent other messages from being
delivered.

To all USNA-Net members,

The USNA-Net website: www.navy-usna.org received its 100,000th hit this
morning at around 9:25 EDT!!! I wanted to send out a quick note about this
website, especially to our newest members.

I hope that you have explored your website, because as a member of USNA-Net
it has been developed for YOUR benefit! Besides the Photo Gallery, that I
am sure many of you have gone to, there are pages and pages of great
information and fun things.

Do you know that there is a page with a dozen USNA related photos and images
that can be used for Wallpaper on your computer? It can be accessed from
the menu items under "Family Interests".

Did you know that there is a very complete Parents' Handbook on the site?
It can be accessed from the menu items under "Parents' Handbook" . You will
find information on Plebe Summer and Plebe year, as well as a list of local
hotels, restaurants, and local care package providers.

Did you know that there are 24 USNA Parents' Clubs who have their own
website on the Internet? You can access those from the "Parents' Clubs"
menu item on the main page. Each is unique and worth a look.

Have you read the "Plebe Humor" page (accessed from the "Family Interests"
page), which has funny one-liners that state "You know you're a Plebe
when...and You know you're Plebe Parent when..." ?

Do you realize that we have a "Site Index" that is an alphabetic listing of
items found on the site, and includes many links to other sites?

There is a page with links to various Electronic card and postcard sites if
you decide you want to send your Mid an electronic card. On the "Family
Interests" page.

And much, much more.....

Mike and I have developed this site with YOU in mind. We have added items
and created pages when we get requests from you. The Wallpaper page was the
result of a member writing to me asking if there was any USNA wallpaper . I
had never seen any, so I made it a priority to create some.

If you have not already done so, take some time to check out this valuable
resource that is right at your fingertips. Sit down at your computer and
spend the time to explore just what this website has to offer. It will be
time well spent.

If you are new to the Internet, and do not know how to access the site, send
me an email, and I will help you.
