To our Navy Family...

Has it been that long since you dropped off your Mid on I-day? Could you
ever have been that wide eyed and innocent as a parent? Can you remember
when you didn't know Jack and were afraid to ask anything as a Plebe Parent?

We've all been there and we've all needed a little help to get to the day
after tomorrow. A large number of us have received that help because other
Parents were there for us in our time of need via USNA-Net. We told you
what to pack, what to send, where to go. We explained how it all works and
why certain things were important and others weren't. We gave directions,
both in Annapolis, and in life. We helped with the little things and we
were there when you needed support on the BIG things.

Well... USNA-Net is now the one asking for YOUR help. We need YOUR
donation to continue our operations as a Parental Support Group. We have
continuing expenses for equipment, communication lines, server space,
maintenance, and other very real costs associated with being there for all
of you every minute of the day or night. When you needed help at 3AM after
your Mid decided to dump the big one on you ("I don't know if USNA is right
for me."), USNA-Net and all of its other parent mentors were there for you.
We will always be there to help guide and hold your hand - give support and
encouragement - supply the answers - as long as we have your financial
support that makes it all possible.

Some of you have already made the effort to donate on-line or mail in a
check. We thank you for your help. As a matter of fact, 71 members have
participated so far by donating a total of $2,950.

But we still have a long way to go and many, many more members to hear from
before this drive will be complete. We know that times are tough for some
and money can be really tight but we really need the support of our
membership.

Come on. There are almost 1,700 member families on USNA-Net and so far,
we've only heard from less than 5% of them. We need YOUR help. Please
don't wait for someone else to support our group. We know YOU want to help.
Why not do it today??? I promise... you'll really feel better after you
do. And USNA-Net will be able to support another Plebe Class of Parents
through this coming Plebe Summer because YOU did YOUR part today. This is
NOT the time to be a Stealth Member.

We've made it as easy as we could for you to do your part. You may donate
on-line using our secure server at
https://www-secure.west-point.org/wporg/donate

When using the On-Line Donation web site, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT "NAVY"
AS THE AFFILIATION so that USNA-Net is properly credited for your donation.

OR visit our web site at www.navy-usna.org and click on the DONATE button on
the main page.

OR if you prefer to make your donation using a check, e make it out to
WP.Org and mail via Regular US Mail to:

West-Point.Org (Designate NAVY on the memo line)
PO Box 2108

Your help and generosity will be greatly appreciated by all of us who work
to make USNA-Net the finest Parental Support Group on the Internet.

Please do your part. Donate today. It hasn't been that long since you
needed us to help when you were a Plebe Parent. Has it?

     2. "I'm not sure, but..."
     3. PLEASE remember to...

================================================================
This Newsletter is sent to all members of our USNA-Net Listservers. It's
published approximately three times each month and is intended to provide
insight into our service, answers to Frequently Asked Questions, and
Technical Assistance and Information to our membership.
================================================================

    1. What's new on the USNA-Net Website:

Since my last newsletter, there have been several additions/changes to the
website. There are new "Spring on the Yard" photos in the Photo Gallery -
all very nice giving those of you who have never had the chance to see the
Yard in the Spring a chance to see just how beautiful it can be.

I have added some new wallpaper - and I'm especially proud of the Chapel
Dome wallpaper created from one of our parent's spring photos!

There is a small icon at the top of the main page (It is actually the signal
flag for the letter "T") that links to a page showing two different ways you
can display your USNA-Net pride by wearing red/white/blue ribbons!! Don't
forget them while you are at the Yard for Herndon, Commissioning Week or
I-Day!!! And if you see one, be sure to stop to say hello!

I have added a page - linked to the Plebe Summer page of the Parents'
Handbook under "Prep for I-Day" showing a female hair style that was not
touched by the USNA barbers on I-Day. If you have any questions on what
will "work" for your '05 daughter, you should check this out!

Have you noticed that the Must Read Books graphic on the main page of the
USNA-Net website is not always the same image? There are 8 different images
that can load, at random in this space. Seven of them show the covers of
USNA related books. It's a rather cool script that makes it happen!

================================================================

     2. "I'm not sure, but..."

I always cringe when I see this in a message posted to one of the lists. We
are an information service. Please, if you are not sure of the answer, we'd
rather you not post it. Generating mis-information does not help those with
questions. If you see yourself writing something like: "I seem to
remember it was like this..." or "I could be wrong, but..." or "Someone
correct me if this is not right..." then DO NOT send it to the lists. We
should always get it right the first time!

================================================================

     3. PLEASE remember to...

When posting to the lists there are four things I want you to ALWAYS check
before you send your post. 1.) Check the format - it MUST be in Plain Text
Format - NOT in RTF! 2.) ALWAYS put a description of your post in the
SUBJECT line. A short line telling what your post is about is always a good
idea. 3.) PLEASE sign your posts. Many of you have email addresses that
make it impossible for other members to know who you are. Yes, there is the
signature line that is attached to each post - but, would you send a snail
mail letter to a friend - or send a card - and fail to sign it? Many have
also requested that you sign your name, your Mid's name and company, and
your HOMETOWN as well! Hey, we're a family here!! and finally, 4.) If your
post has any length at all, PLEASE break it up into paragraphs. They are so
much easier to read this way!

================================================================

     4. What you've been searching for...

First, remember when you are searching for something to always put a ( " )
before and after a phrase. prep for i day yielded 132 results - "prep for i
day" yielded 2!!

a.) "Navy Ships" - please go to the Official Navy Homepage: www.navy.mil
and click onto "Our Ships" as a starting point to finding information
about, and possible websites for the Ships of our Navy -active and retired.
OR, if you have a specific ship in mind - try Yahoo or some other search
engine. Simply type "USS Russell" in the search block - being sure to
include the ( " ) marks.
b.) "2003 Class Crest" - Mike had a rendition of this crest on the website
a few months ago. It has since been delegated to cyberspace. To see what
it looks like, look here:
 www.navy-usna.org/2003crestmz1.jpg
To save it to your hard drive right click your mouse - click onto "Save
picture as" - then simply hit "Save" being sure to remember where you save
it and what it is called - you can save it where ever you like in your
computer and can even rename the graphic if you like)
c.) "2001 Football Schedule" you will find EVERYTHING that is on the
Internet on Naval Academy Athletics by going to the Naval Academy website:
www.usna.edu and clicking on "Athletics."
d.) "accommodations" - try "lodgings" on the Site Index on the USNA-Net
website.
e.) "firstie parents weekend class of 2002" -
'02 Parents' Weekend...............................09/07/01-09/09/01 To
find this, simply go to the Site Index on the USNA-Net website and look
under "C" for Calendars. Then click onto "2001-02"

================================================================

     5. Poems, Parables and Anecdotal Stories

PLEASE, do not post jokes, parables, poems, or anecdotal stories to the
Lists!! This is against our Rules of Operation. Why is this a violation?
Well, consider this.

We ALL have favorite anecdotes - we all come across parables or poems from
time to time (how many jokes and such do YOU get in your inbox every
week?) - and every once in a while, you might read something that you feel
our parents would like. WE ALL DO! BUT, if one THIRD our parents (let's be
realistic here) sent in a poem or such only twice a year this would mean
1133 additional posts a year - and would mean that our server would have to
mail 1,811,200 MORE emails a year - not to mention the additional storage
space in the Archives. That would be for JUST the Family list - if you
factor in the Plebe List and the Sports List the numbers really start
getting scary. When you look at the numbers - it is hard to disagree with
our policy of no poems, parables, jokes or anecdotes.

But there is an even more compelling reason for this rule! Take jokes, for
instance - one persons feels a joke is hilarious, another finds the same
joke lame or even offensive. Everyone has different tastes, different
perspectives and different ideas of what is funny. Same thing goes with
these parables, quotations or anecdotal stories. . . What one member will
find completely appropriate, another would not. The ONLY way to control
this is to simply not allow it. If you see this sort of thing posted to the
lists, you know that either Mike or I have sent a gentle reminder to the
violating party telling them it was against our rules and why. We do not
want to be ogres - but one of the things we MUST, as Moderators, do is
enforce the rules.

================================================================

     6. Answering Confidential posts...

Typically, when you respond to a post and wish to do this privately, you hit
"Reply to Sender" and send your note directly to the member who posted it.
In the case of a confidential post - you must either send your response
directly to the list - or send it to me with instructions to pass it along
to the original confidential poster - or request that I relay your response
to the lists confidentially. I have been getting any number of responses
that should have gone to the lists over the 3/c topic. And when either one
of us needs to forward a post - for whatever reason - and the original
poster's name and email address are included in the body of the post -
PLEASE send your personal response DIRECTLY to them...not to us!
================================================================

Now I know this was long...but I hope there is at least SOMETHING of
interest to all of you here. Thanks for taking the time to read it!

Mike and I are BOTH looking forward to seeing many of you at Buddy's on the
20th!!!!

To our Navy Family,

We continue to ask for voluntary donations in our ninth semi-annual fund
raiser. We have made significant progress and are over 1/3 of the way to
our goal for this six months. But we still have a long way to go and WE
NEED YOUR HELP.

As Parent Members of this great organization, you are the backbone of what
we do and who we are. We're Parents Helping Other Parents. We come from
Maine to Hawaii, from Alaska to Florida, from literally around the world -
with members in Europe and the South Pacific.

We join together to answer the needs of fellow parents. When called upon,
we have opened our hearts and even our homes to other parents who need our
support - without thoughts of compensation or "what's in it for me?"

Sandi and I are now asking that you go one small step further. Our sponsor
organization, WP-ORG, needs your support to meet operating expenses for the
next six month. We need you to send in a donation so that we can be here
for the next group of parents who will need our support - our shoulder to
cry on or our smile to get them through the day.

Who will help if you don't?

This is a time when YOU can make a big difference in the lives of another
set of parents. It's a time when YOUR generosity and willingness to do that
little bit extra will be felt across the miles. By supporting our
organization with a fully tax deductible donation you know you've done
something special to help other parents when they need you the most.

Without YOUR PARTICIPATION, our Network of Parents wouldn't exist. Who
would answer the questions? Who would send in the photos? Who would care?

Who will help if you don't?

You don't have to be extravagant to make a difference. Every donation
contributes to the common good but WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY. We've made it
as easy as we could for you to do your part. You may donate on-line using
our secure server at
https://www-secure.west-point.org/wporg/donate

================================================================
This Newsletter is sent to all members of our USNA-Net Listservers. It is
published approximately three times each month and is intended to provide
insight into our service, answers to Frequently Asked Questions, and
Technical Assistance and Information to our membership.
================================================================

1. What's New.

New Members. We've been signing up new members like crazy. Not just Class
of '05 either. Word is still passing around and we're getting loads of new
members from the class of '02 through '04 as well. Keep up the good work.
Let's get the word out to everyone that they are all welcome to join.

Plebe Corner - Sandi's revamped the Plebe Parents' Corner of our web site to
reflect what new material we've collected for the Class of'05 thus far.
Check it out by going to our web site at www.USNA-Net.org and click on the
turned back corner of the main page in the upper right. This will take you
to our special corner of our web site dedicated to our Plebe parents. Links
galore - All hand picked to be of special interest to Plebe Parents.

Donations - Our 9th semi-annual fund raiser is progressing well. We've
received $5,870 in donations from 146 members who have donated anywhere from
$10.00 to $150.00 each. Overall, WP-ORG has reached 45% of its goal and
looks forward to completing this drive quickly. Our last drive ended with
Navy parents' donating a total of $14,725 from 315 families. Please help us
as best you can.

If you'd like to check out our Navy donations so far, you can visit
https://www-secure.west-point.org/wporg/donate/report/1,2028,6,00.html
and click on "Navy" for our donation results. It's up-to-date except for a
few checks that may be still in the mail. (By the way... We lead Army
Parents by almost $500 - They are "Parent" in the categories. We were
ahead by almost $1,000 but they noticed that they lagged and have almost
caught up.)

2. What's Public - What's Private.

I'd like to clear up some confusion about our USNA-Net web site and what is
open to the General Public and what is strictly "For Members Only."
Actually, it's pretty straight forward. All of our web site is available to
anyone with an Internet connection with the exception of our ARCHIVES, our
CLASSIFIEDS and our CHAT ROOM. Access to these areas requires the use of
your User Name and Password which should never be shared or disclosed to
anyone, even if they tell you they are members. If they forgot their
Password, they can write to Sandi or me and we will gladly send it along by
return email on the same day.

That means that anyone of your family or friends may visit our web site and
go through just about everything, our Photo Gallery, our Suggested Reading
Lists, Plebe Corner, our Parents' Handbook, - all of it. You can point to
the pictures and tell them all about your experiences at the Yard, the
Patrol Boats, the Parades, the Fly-bys, everything. You just can't share
the email and our archives with non-members.

You can share our web address with your Mid's former teachers and your Mid's
old classmates in high school. A quick visit to our web site will give them
a real eyeful into what your Mid is really up to these days. And don't
forget to pass our address on to those high school students who may be
thinking about USNA as a possible career. It's a great recruiting resource,
too.

Just keep the Archives, Classifieds and Chat Room to members only. After
all, membership does have its privileges.

3. Buddy's 3rd Annual Member Get Together.

Okay, its all set up and we'll be there on Sunday evening in just a week's
time. Everyone is invited to "press the flesh" with other members who will
be in town for Herndon and Commissioning. All members (AND their guests)
are invited to an informal get-together at BUDDY'S CRABS AND RIBS at 100
Main Street, Annapolis from 9:00 PM to Closing on Sunday, May 20th, 2001.

Buddy's is located opposite the Flag Pole in the traffic circle in downtown
Annapolis on the second floor above Banana Republic. Parking is usually
available in the Municipal Parking Garage across Main Street about a block
up the street. We will be having a cash bar (you pay for your own) and
Buddy's will be serving free finger food to munch. Last year we had a
really great time. The Manager played tapes from the previous plebe summer
on all of the TVs in the place and said we had about 400 people there.

Again this year, I will set up the ol' laptop and telecast live pictures of
the event via our BuddyCam web camera. Sorry no sound but you'll be able to
click on to the site and have a peek at everyone who's there over the course
of the evening. Last year we even had a Mom who told her Mid to show up and
stand in front of the camera at a certain time so that she could see him out
in California.

If you're interested in an advance preview, check out last years photos in
our Photo Gallery under 2nd Annual Get-together or
www.navy-usna.org/buddycam.html for the actual page that will be used that
night. It will be available later this week as a link from our web site's
Main Page. See you all there.

4. An Open Letter to Mom.

Two years ago, we received this letter from a member who wished to remain
anonymous but wanted to share it with all of the Mothers out there in
Cyberspace on the occasion of Herndon. Since it is only a few days until
this Herndon and this Sunday is Mother's Day, we thought it would be super
to share it again with all of you. You can find it on the web site under
Family Interests. Then click on "An Open Letter to Mom." Bring your
tissues and turn up the volume on your speakers. It comes complete with its
own background music.

We like to think that it was written especially for you, Mom, on Mother's
Day. It's a MUST READ. You can also find it directly at
www.navy-usna.org/letter.html

5. I'm not sure but...

Please remember that we are here to support each other with the best advice
and information possible... all the time... every day. I cringe every time
I see a posting start with "I'm not sure but..." or "Correct me if I'm wrong
but..." or "It's been a long time since I heard about this but..."

Our members deserve the very best advice. It is an extreme disservice to
pass along information about which you are NOT ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN. If you
don't know FOR SURE don't post the information until you have checked it
out. If you can't verify it, then don't post it.

We're not here to pass along rumors, half truths or guesses. We're here to
support each other with the very best information available anywhere. Do
your part by making sure that everything you post is 101% accurate. And
NEVER start a posting with "I'm not sure but..." As your Mid would say, "No
excuse! Sir!"

6. Rule Reasons - Positive Content ONLY.

Continuing our series of explanations of our Rules of Operation, here is
Rule Number 3 - Positive Content ONLY

"Criticism of the Academy in any way is forbidden."
=================================================
We are not here to discuss or criticize the Academy, its administration or
its policy. We are here to help each other understand and work with the
Academy for the betterment of our children. Anything less would detract
from our Mission and dilute our value to other members.

"Reports of Negative Incidents or 'Fast Breaking News Stories' concerning
any Midshipman or the USNA are prohibited. The potential harm to
Midshipmen, the USNA and this Listserver from such "tabloid" type messages
could be substantial."
=================================================
We are not in the "News" business. We don't want members "reporting" late
breaking stories to our membership. More often than not, the first reports
of these types of incidents are inaccurate and may do significant harm to
Mids or their families. Example... Some time ago, a member posted a
breaking news story that a Plebe had "plunged from a window of Bancroft
during Plebe Summer." It was actually "reported" by one of our members to
our Plebe list. Sandi and I shut down the listservers pending the real
facts about the incident. After a few hours it became apparent that this
news report was WRONG. What actually happened was a fall from a first floor
window which resulted in a pair of broken ankles to the male Mid who fell.
Imagine the terror among parents of Plebes following the posting of this
message until parents could verify that it wasn't their son or daughter that
had jumped. We are NOT a news service and will NOT permit this sort of
"sensationalism" to take place on our listservers. There is a fine line
between sharing information and reporting breaking news. Check with your
Moderators first if there is ANY doubt about what to do.

"Discussion of any administrative aspect of the Academy is NOT a function of
USNA-Net. This includes constructive criticism, in the eye of the sender."
=================================================
We're not here to do this. It serves no GOOD purpose to allow "Activism" to
grip our lists. We are here to support each others with advice and
information, NOT to advocate activism or criticism or discussions of
administrative policy or actions. Allowing these sorts of discussions or
messages to be passed to our members, defeats our Mission and drives a wedge
between our organization and the Academy. We have worked too long and too
hard to insure a good, working relationship with USNA to allow any member's
soapbox to detract from our larger interests in helping our member parents
and the Naval Academy.

We hope this helps you understand our Rules just a little better.

Until next issue...

To all...

Per a request from a member, I'm offering yet another reminder about the
coming 3rd Annual Get-together which is held the evening before Herndon in
Annapolis.

TIME: 9:00 PM to Midnight
DATE: Sunday, May 20th, 2001.

PLACE: Buddy's Crabs and Ribs (second Floor above Banana Republic)

ADDRESS: 100 Main Street, Annapolis, MD.

DRESS: Casual - anything goes.

ADMISSION: Free - Cash Bar (you pay for what you order.)

Bring and wear your name tags so that everyone will know who you are. We're
the biggest bunch of friendly strangers in the state for that week.

You can't help but be able to find the place. It overlooks the Flag Pole in
the traffic circle in downtown Annapolis by the city docks. The entrance is
on Main Street which runs up the hill to the Capitol Circle with all the
shops lining both sides of the street. If you still don't know where it is,
ask you Mid. They all know where Buddy's is.

If you are going to want dinner before the crowd arrives, plan on getting
there a little earlier because Buddy's does NOT accept reservations.
Remember to tell them your staying for the USNA-Net Get Together when you
arrive. By 9:00 PM either Sandi or I will begin acting as greeters at the
top of the stairs. Keep an eye peeled. We want to meet every one of you
before the night is over.

See you there.

PS. If you can't make it, don't forget to check out the action on our
BuddyCam on the Web site. It will be broadcasting live images every few
seconds right from the party. You'll get to see what you're missing. (Go
to the web site (www.USNA-Net.org) and click on Buddy's WebCam at the bottom
of the main menu on the left edge of the page.) You can try now but it only
shows an image of USNA-Net HQ for the moment.

To all,

This is just a short reminder that your Moderators will be heading to the
Yard for a few days to visit with all of your at Buddy's on Sunday night and
to sit in the Sun and watch the Climbing of Herndon by the Class of 2004 on
Monday. We hope to see more than a few of you there.

We would appreciate it if our members could do TWO things for us over the
next couple of days...

1. While we will be available via email the entire time (we take the
laptop with us), it would be nice to have all of the changes of address and
other administrative stuff delayed until our return to USNA-Net HQ sometime
late on Tuesday.

2. While we are gone, it would be terrific if those of you who have put
off sending in a donation to our 9th Fund Drive would take the time to do it
now. We'd love to return to find a huge jump in funds reported in our
absence. The on-line donation form is available 24/7 for your convenience
and of course, the US Mail still delivers checks even if we aren't around to
help. :>)

Seriously, WP-ORG desperately needs your continued support. We are a part
of this wonderful organization and are able to do all of the things we do
because they pay all of the bills for server space, connection time to the
Internet, software to make it all happen, etc.

We know that you value the service that USNA-Net is able to offer to each of
you. Please help us to maintain the service by sending in something, even
if it's only a few dollars, today. Just think, even $10 from every member
would make a HUGE difference. (A $10 donation come out to less than 40
cents per week. Surely it's worth at least that much to just shut me up
about the fund raiser. VBG)

We've added hundreds of new members since our last fund raiser and we are
way behind our previous donation level. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT. We need YOUR
dollars to keep this service alive. Please help today.

You may donate on-line using
our secure server at
https://www-secure.west-point.org/wporg/donate

When using the On-Line Donation web site, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT "NAVY"
AS THE AFFILIATION so that USNA-Net is properly credited for your donation.

OR visit our web site at www.USNA-Net.org and click on the DONATE button on
the main page.

OR if you prefer to make your donation using a check, make it out to WP-ORG
and mail via Regular US Mail to:

WP-ORG (Designate NAVY on the memo line)
PO Box 2108
Abingdon, VA 24212-2108

Your help and generosity will be greatly appreciated by all of us who work
to make USNA-Net the finest Parental Support Group on the Internet.

Please do your part. Who will help if you don't?

Donate today.

To all...

Sandi and I are back home and trying to catch up on the mail and other such
stuff.

I've posted the Pics from Buddy's. A huge thanks and tip of the hat to
George Dodge who captured a the majority of the photos from the Web Cam and
zipped them to me via email.

These first set will be augmented with others if members send them to us.

To find the BUDDY'S PHOTOS visit the web site and look for "Buddy's Photos"
at the bottom of the main menu on the left of the page. I'll move them to
the Photo Gallery later. For now ENJOY!

In another day or so, I'll have my photos of Herndon posted that I took from
0645 until 1630 - From greasing to cleaning afterwards. I'll also share a
few highlights and insider observations of both events tomorrow.

To all...

Well... I've cajoled (Webster: 1. To persuade with deliberate flattery
esp. in the face of reluctance.)... but to no avail.

I've begged... Nothing.

I've even attempted to SHAME you into donating just a few dollars to our
ninth semi-annual Fund Raiser. But nothing seems to work.

What's wrong? The economy is good. Unemployment is way down. I just don't
understand why you haven't taken just a minute to send us a few bucks.

It isn't as if Sandi and I were about to bug out to the islands with your
hard earned dough. We don't even know who gives or when or how much. We
just know that we haven't hit our goal yet and only 192 of you have taken
the time to help. (Many, many thanks to those who have given.)

But 192 donors out of almost 1,700 subscribers??? Come on. I know we can
do better than that. Where are the other 1,500 of you??? Can't you spare
even $5 or $10 to help defray the cost of our server time? We don't ask
for huge donations. We don't want to break the bank or disrupt your budget.

How about just FOURTY CENTS a week for six months? That's only $10 !!!
Even you can spare the cost of ONE CUP OF COFFEE each week in exchange for
all of the help and support that you get as a member of USNA-Net.

If you and I were to meet once a week to talk about our Mids, to share
stories, to help each other get through another week, wouldn't you buy me a
cup of coffee while we chatted? Subscribing to USNA-Net is even cheaper
than that since you don't have to pay for the gas that you'd use to get to
the coffee shop. You don't even really have to buy that cup of coffee.
You'll continue getting all of our help and advice even if you DON'T donate.
But won't you feel better if you do? Wouldn't it be nice to buy your
friends a cup of coffee? Can't you spare even $10 in exchange for our
company for the next six months? Sure you can.

We've made it as easy as we could for you to do your part. You may donate
on-line using our secure server at

To all...

ESPECIALLY TO OUR NEWEST '05 PLEBE PARENTS...

MIDSHIPMEN ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BE MEMBERS OF USNA-NET. THEY ARE NOT
PERMITTED TO READ OR PARTICIPATE IN OUR LISTSERVERS IN ANY WAY.

VIOLATIONS OF THIS POLICY BY ANY MEMBER WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION
OF ALL OF THAT MEMBER'S PRIVELEGES!!!

There is a very valid reason that Midshipmen (and Midshipmen-to-be) are not
allowed to even read our messages. This service is for the confidential use
of PARENTS. It would be impossible for Parents to seek advice of other
parents, if they for one minute suspected that another Mid (perhaps even
their Mid's Companymates or Upper Classmen) were reading email about them
and their problems.

Membership is limited to Adults... Parents, Grandparents and other
significant relatives of Midshipmen plus certain Sponsors and Staff/Faculty.
Our Rules of Operation forbid the sharing of any UNSA-Net email with ANY
non-member, even your MID!!!!!

I will not allow any member to violate our Privacy Rule.

'05 Parents... Your Mids-to-be are NOT allowed to read your email from our
lists and they are NOT allowed to post questions to our Lists under your
name and membership.

'05 Plebes-to-be... You are hereby charged with the responsibility of
abiding by this as a matter of honor. While YOU may not have been aware of
our Privacy Rule, your parents ARE responsible for reading and following ALL
of our Rules of Operation. As you will soon find out, the ONLY response to
this situation is the response of "Sir! No Excuse, Sir!"

Do not let it happen again.
