A special message from your Moderators...

Dear USNA-Net Family and Friends,

Our 2004 Annual Fund Drive is wrapping up. After only one week, we are at
almost 90% of our goal of $8,600. Your response has been incredible.

We will soon close the Drive for yet another year. So if you had intended
to send in a donation but hadn't yet gotten around to it, NOW is the time.

We know how much our service has meant to all of our Plebe members and lots
of them have contributed to our fund raiser in appreciation. So too have
our Upper-class members contributed in fine fashion.

We know that there are many of you who still want to step up and send in a
little something to help us finish the drive in short order. So if you had
meant to help and had missed you chance last year, you're about to miss that
chance again this year.

Please take a moment to visit our web site at www.USNA.org and click on the
BLUE DONATE BUTTON in the middle of the main page. You can donate on-line
using our Secure Server or send along a personal check to the address below.
Whichever is more convenient.

Help us to finish in grand NAVY style. Each of you have benefited in some
way from your participation over the past months. By donating even a few
dollars now, you will be helping us to help others parents for yet another
whole year. Don't let us down when we're this close. Your donation could
make all the difference for us all over the next 12 months.

To those who have already donated, THANK YOU! We couldn't have done this
without you. You know who you are. We've heard from Parents, Sponsors,
Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and even Parents of Grads from prior years. You
have all been generous beyond our expectations.

All we need is for a few more of our members to step forward with whatever
you can afford to conclude the drive in the next few days. Once we're
complete, we promise we won't be asking again until next year.

So just don't think about it. Help us today. You won't be sorry. Your
donation helps more than you can ever know.

With sincere gratitude...

A special message from your Moderators...

Dear friends,

We have concluded our Annual Fund Raising Drive with yet another successful
effort. We quickly reached our goal of $8,600 through the generosity of our
many members and now have the operating funds to continue for yet another
year.

We wish to thank each and every one of you who made a donation. We cannot
begin to express our collective gratitude. Let us just say that it's your
overwhelming generosity which makes the volunteer efforts of everyone
involved so worthwhile throughout the year. On behalf of your Moderators,
our USNA-Net Board of Advisors, and all of the members who depend upon
USNA-Net for advice, support and information on a daily basis, THANK YOU!

It's because of you that we are able to operate our five Lists, maintain the
Web Site, continue the Safe Harbor Program for all Midshipmen, and host 38
Parents Club Web Sites across the country.

As we have grown from just 30 members in 1997 to over 3,400 families today,
we have only our members to thank for providing the means by which to do all
that we have. It's because of YOU, our faithful members, that we have had
the wherewithal to continue with our Mission of Parents Helping Parents.
It's because of YOU that these lists exist. Without your continued
participation, none of this would be possible. Even just reading the mail
everyday is a valuable part of that participation. You make it possible for
us to share so much by being a member.

Thanks again for all your help. Let us know what you need in the way of
support for the coming year. After all, this is YOUR parents network. It
exists because of you and it will continue to serve your needs to the best
of our collective abilities for as long as you need us.

Respectfully,

Mike Zets

A special message from your Moderators...

It's that time of year again. The fateful season-ending game between Army
and Navy looms on the "not so distant" horizon. Each year as the game gets
closer, many of our members find themselves wanting to buy or sell tickets
to the game. This year as always, we want to make sure that everyone knows
how we handle this on USNA-Net.

First and most important, our Rules of Operation prohibit sending any
message to our lists which offers anything WANTED or FOR SALE. This
includes tickets to any sporting event. That's why we established our
Classified Ads on our web site. Members who want to buy or sell stuff can
go there instead of flooding our lists with their requests. While it is
very important to the buyer or seller, let's face it... No one else wants
to get dozens of emails every day about tickets except those wanting to buy
or sell them. The same goes for buying or selling other stuff.

USNA-Net members may PLACE ads in the Classifieds simply by going to the
Classified Ads on our web site at www.USNA.org and clicking on the link to
the ads on the main page. Then click on the link which says "To place an
Ad, Click Here."

Members may offer anything (that's legal) for sale in our Classifieds. And
we have all sorts of stuff there already... including tickets to various
football games throughout the season. As always, tickets may not be sold
for more than FACE VALUE. Scalping tickets is illegal and will not be
tolerated in our Classified Ads.

SPECIFICS ABOUT A/N TICKETS...
This year, as in years past, there will be many more members SEEKING tickets
than selling them, so we will again ask that if you have A/N Tickets FOR
SALE that you do NOT place an ad until you have the tickets "in hand" and
haven't yet found a buyer.

If you know that you will have extra tickets, simply go to the Classified
Ads and look for an ad from a member who is seeking tickets. We will have
dozens of members, ready, willing and with cash in hand, to purchase your
tickets in the next months.

If you need tickets to A/N, what are you waiting for??? Place your ad
today.

The Academy doesn't mail out the tickets until about two to three weeks
before the game. So if you commit to sell extra tickets now, PLEASE honor
that agreement and send the tickets as soon as they arrive.

If you haven't checked out the Classified Ads at USNA-Net, why not visit the
page today. There's tons of stuff there... from Computers to Jewelry to
Stadium Blankets to "Toe Covers." - Condos for rent, Cars for sale,
affordable long distance, even low cost Dial Up Internet Service. You name
it, it's probably listed. All by our very own members!

Best of all, this is the only service of it's kind, anywhere, for USNA
Parents. You have to be a member of USNA-Net to place an ad but the whole
world is free to view the ads, so it's possible that you may be contacted by
just about anyone from anywhere in the world not just USNA-Net members.
>From what we hear via feedback, our ads are VERY successful.

Patronize our very own Navy Family. Visit the USNA-Net Classifieds today.

Go Navy...

A special message from your Moderators...

I frequently get questions about how to change addresses or how the lists
work, etc. To help all of our members, we have a page on the web site
called Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs in internet jargon). Look in the
main menu on the left of the main page at www.USNA.org. Every member should
take the time to read through ALL of these FAQs. Then, when you need one of
these things, you'll remember where to find the answer if you can't remember
the answer itself.

Think of our FAQs page as the Owners Manual for using the USNA-Net lists.
