Every Spring USNA.org asks its members to provide the needed support to
continue it's operation on the Internet and every Spring you step forward
with generous support. So it was again this Spring. We asked and you
helped.

We are just about done with the Spring Fundraiser. If you haven't gotten
around to helping this Spring, it's not too late. We will be concluding the
Fundraiser this week. So, if you meant to send in a donation, now is the
time.

Think of it this way...

We've been here for you, providing the means to ask for and receive the
advice and support of fellow parents across the nation. Most of you
"lurk" - never writing but reading every word. And that's just fine. There
is much to be learned from just paying attention as others seek answers to
questions that you've had, as well. Our service has helped thousands of
parent understand everything from getting ready for I-Day to what happens
after graduation as your new Officers move into the Fleet.

Please take a moment to send in something to help us offset our modest
operating costs. You'll be even a more valued part of our group and your
fellow parents will benefit for another six months of timely advice like
none other.

USNA.org takes pride in providing you all with just what you need. No
politics. No junk mail. No "off-topic" messages or discussions about
things that don't support our Mission. Just great advice and information
about what matters to you as a parent.

Please help us FINISH the drive this week.

You can donate on-line at www.USNA.org or mail a check to...

    USNA-Net, Inc.
    1457 E. Crossings Place
    Westlake, OH 44145

Send in what you can. It doesn't have to be much. Whatever you can spare.
Just take a minute to help.

Thanks soooooo much.

GO Navy!

Dear friends,

Our Mission here at USNA.org is to provide a means for fellow parents to
seek and receive Advice and Support on Navy Parenting issues. We take our
responsibility to provide a focused service to our members very seriously
and to that end, have established Rules of Operation
(www.USNA.org/rules.html) which govern the use of our service by our
members.

It's only through these Rules that we avoid flooding our members with junk
mail, advertising of all sorts, Calls to Action, Political messages and a
host of other non-related messages that our over 4,000 members could send to
our lists.

We feel that by maintaining our focus on Navy Parenting, we provide a valued
resource to our members while minimizing the volume of email that our server
sends out. Everyone wins.

So I must ask that our members read and abide by our rules at all times. We
know that it's difficult at times to resist the temptation to use our
mailing lists for topics, causes and discussions that don't focus on our
Mission but it's only by "keeping our eyes in the boat" that USNA.org has
been able help so many parents over the past ten years.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued cooperation.

A special message from your USNA-Net Moderators...

Our sincerest THANK YOU!! to everyone who took the time to donate to our
just completed USNA.org Fund Drive!! Your support and kindness mean more to
us than we can ever express in mere words. Your generosity means that
USNA.org will continue to be here for all of us ... to answer questions, to
relieve concerns, to point you in the right direction ... and to share our
son's and daughter's accomplishments.

Your contributions have made it possible for us to continue our Mission of
Parents Helping Parents!

It's hard to believe that we've been doing this for ten years - and that our
numbers continue to grow! I know that today there is much better
communication between Mids and their parents and between parents and the
Academy ... but it's still a very difficult thing to give over your child to
the military and lose so much control. We can feel so isolated - not able
to drop in at a moment's notice or call anytime during the day or night -
like we could if they were at any civilian college. After parenting for 18
years this "cold turkey" approach can be almost painful ...

When my son was at the Academy it was like pulling teeth to ever get him to
say a word ... questions went unanswered ... rolled eyes were an everyday
occurrence (and, yes, I could tell when he was doing it over the phone!) ...
"non-communicative" put it mildly. Without these lists, I would truly have
been lost!

We have removed the donate button from the website. I know that many of you
had problems with our new Paypal donation option - we apologize for this -
and if you would still like to donate, or you had intended to donate and
just never got around it, you can still send a check to:

    USNA-Net, Inc.
    1457 E Crossings Place
    Westlake, OH 44145

Many, many thanks ... You truly are the "U" in USNA.org. Bravo Zulu to all
who contributed. Give yourselves a pat on the back. Thanks to your
generosity, we'll be around for a long time to come.
