Herndon.  Held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 0900. The symbolic end of the plebe year, as all or part of the plebe class scale the larded 21-foot granite Herndon monument obelisk near the Chapel, replacing a Plebe Dixie Cup with a Midshipman's Cover.

Approximately 1,200 young men and women will report to the United States Naval Academy on Induction Day to begin four years of study and Military Training leading to a Bachelor's Degree and a Commission as a Naval or Marine Corps Officer.
