How to Submit Photographs to USNA-Net
General Guidelines...
USNA-Net reserves the option to publish photos sent to us at our sole discretion.
- Faces, faces and more faces. We prefer photos which are taken close enough to see lots of faces. Our members like to play "Where's Waldo."
- Unique photos - things we have not seen before - are always appreciated.
- A few shots of your family are fine, we love seeing you, too ...but we're not looking to publish your whole family album. :>) Photos which are of interest to all our members are preferred.
- Any aspect of Academy life is welcome. different sporting events and activities give us a better "picture" of what our mids are doing.
- Don't adjust Digital Pics. We will crop, color/contrast adjust and compress the images from your unretouched "originals."
- If at all possible DO NOT COMPRESS IMAGES for transmission to us. Doing so drastically compromises the image quality and makes some images unusable for our purposes.
- Get the pics to us as quickly as possible. We try hard to quickly post pics of recent events. We want to keep our members as up-to-date as possible.
If the Photos are DIGITAL...
Simply attach the photos to an email and send them to
To protet ourselves from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled.
. Be sure to send them in groups so that the total size of all files
doesn't exceed the maximum allowable email size as stipulated by your Internet Service
Provider (ISP). Many ISP's limit how large a message (including all attachments) may
be sent in a single email. If this is the case with your ISP, send three to
six photos per message.
Be sure to tell us WHO YOU ARE in your first message and how many messages will be expected.
If the Photos are PAPER PRINTS - or on a CD or DVD...
Simply put them in the regular mail and send them to...

NEVER MAIL NEGATIVES !
While we can scan negatives, they are essentially irreplacable and we would never want them to be lost in transit. Even insuring them is not sufficient protection for your negatives.
Original Prints will be scanned and returned by US Mail.
