Q: Do members have a right to expect privacy? A: - ABSOLUTELY! All membership information is kept strictly confidential and will NOT be released to anyone under any circumstances! When you subscribed, we asked you to provide certain information that is used only for our own internal pruposes. From time to time, the Moderator may need to contact you to offer assistance, discuss a policy, etc. For this reason, we need to know your address and phone number. Member information is not stored on the Host Computer and is completely immune to snooping by anyone. Your email address will never be sold or given to a third party, even if it is in association with USNA or its activities. REMEMBER... Your email retrun address DOES appear to other list members when you broadcast a message. Also your basic Info Tag (Signature Line)appears on the bottom of each message you send. It contains: Mid's Last Name, Mid's First Name, Year of Graduation, Your Last Name, and Your First Name(s). This is automatic and helps other members identify you in the event they wish to respond to you. It also prevents members from posting things they are unwilling to be identified as sending. |
