Mid Afternoon brought rain on the waiting chairs in T-Court. While we were there, we caught a single squad of Plebes being led into Bancroft from somewhere by their Detailer.

The crowds were elsewhere when we went down Stribling Walk. Here's just one of the meeting signs for the anxious parents to use as guideposts to finding their Plebes later in the day.  We took a moment to find Memorial Hall and to photograph the US Flags which were used as a backdrop for the many Private Swearing In Ceremonies held there following the group ceremony at 1800 hours in T-Court.

Parents filled Alumni Hall for the Official Supe's Briefing at 1445.  As the hall filled, Parents were treated to the sounds of the Navy Band.  Before the Briefing began, both side curtains were lifted as the hall was filled to capacity.  It became SRO for this year's Parents.

1700 Hours
The crowds began to find seats as the Navy Band played for all.

And then the moment we all had waited for... The new Plebes begin to file into T-Court.
Coming from both sides at once - Marching across the rear of the seating area and then down the center aisle - Filling each row from front to rear.

As the last of the Class of '06 enter T-Court,
they are followed by the Regimental Staff and then the First Set Detailers.
The March On of the Colors - The Invocation - The Opening Remarks
and the Administration of the Detailers' Oath by
Officer-in-Charge Fourth Class Regiment,
Lt. Col. Joseph D. Dauplaise, USMC
With the concluding of the Administration of the Oath,
Parents and new Plebes streamed down Stribling Walk
to say good-bye for the next six weeks.

Sandi can be seen in the middle of this photo as our group of Volunteers gathered at the Unaccompanied Plebe Area to provide cell phones to over THIRTY PLEBES so that they could call home to Mom or Dad in the minutes before they had to report back to their Detailers and be whisked off with the other Plebes to King Hall for Dinner.  Look for YOUR Unaccompanied Plebe...

A few of the empties after the Unaccompanied Plebes raided the Provisions Locker   AND...  Just a few of those members of USNA-Net and some of the Local Parents' Clubs who donated their time and their Cell Phones to make this great project possible again this year.

The Plebes rejoin their classmates and March to King Hall for dinner.

A few photos from around the Yard on Saturday, after you have all gone home
Including a Vanity Plate from New York State,
A couple of shots of the new Statue of Maj. General Lejeune
and the NEW Navy Flag Pole flying pennants for all the winning Sports,
the Barriers in front of Bancroft while construction goes ahead on the Dome,
and the Seal in the walk in front of the statue of Tecumseh.
