Mike Zets - Moderator & SysOp

Mike has been Moderator for the USNA-Net^® Listservers since November of 1998 when membership totaled about 70 members.  He is a six year Navy veteran serving 2 years ('69-'71) at USNAS Brunswick, ME with ComFAirWingThree (P-3's).

He has two sons, Brian, (Attorney in Columbus, Ohio) and Chris, (Licensed Financial Advisor in Youngstown, OH)

He is currently President and C.E.O. of Accurate Machine Tool, Cleveland, Ohio and lives in Westlake, Ohio with his wife Sandi.  You can check out their Website, Poetscorner, when you have a moment.  You'll even find a few wedding pictures there.

Sandi Zets - Webmaster

Sandi is a 1971 Graduate of Franklin College of Indiana, BA in Education, and currently serves as Webmaster for seven web sites.  She and Mike were married in February, 1999, in her hometown of Cincinnati.

Sandi's son, LT Michael Stoker, USNA Class of 2000, is currently stationed in aboard the USS Ruben James, homeport Pearl Harbor, HI.  Sandi's daughter, Jennifer, completed her Masters in Fine Arts at the University of Delaware in June 2003, taught for a year at Rutgers University and is now a stay at home mother of two beautiful daughters.

Sandi spends most of her day operating her own Website Design Company, BackStreet Designs.  She designs computer graphic images and personal & commercial websites and is Co-Moderator for the USNA-Net^® Listservers.  All of the graphics and backgrounds used on our USNA-Net^® Website are her creation along with those on her own personal Web Site and on Poetscorner mentioned above.

Richard Albrecht - Technical Advisor

Richard Albrecht has been Technical Advisor and Systems Programmer for the USNA-NetŪ Listservers since August of 2001 where he administers software development and upgrades for all of the various lists.

Richard graduated from Denison University in 1967 and was commissioned in the Air Force through the ROTC program serving at various locations in the United States and South Korea between 1967 and 1971.

He and his wife, Laurie, have three grown children.  James is a graduate of The Savannah College of Art and Design and lives in Champaign, Illinois.  Meredith is a graduate of USNA in the Class of 2004 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.  During the summer and fall of 2004, Meredith was an instructor of Physics at the Naval Academy Preparitory School in Newport, RI and has completed her post-commissioning pilot training.  Lindsay graduated from The College of Notre Dame of Maryland, in Baltimore in 2007.

Currently, Richard is an independant Technical Computer Systems Consultant in the Chicago area.

Sandy Davis-Skelton - Administrative Advisor

Sandra Skelton has been a member of USNA-Net^® since November of 2000.  She is a staunch supporter of the Naval Academy, has worked for the Federal Government since 1977 and acts as one of our Administrative Advisors.

Moving to Annapolis in her son Clay's 2/C year, she is the proud mother of this '94 Grad who started in NAPS in '89, went on to earn his wings in '97 and is now a Lieutenant Commander, stationed in Owego, NY.  Sandy has sponsored too many Mids to count since 1993 when she first became a Sponsor Mom but currently sponsors 17 Mids Full Time and has another 8 on a Part Time basis.  Sandy is a valued member of our organization, giving countless hours of volunteer time to Midshipmen and their Parents for more than a decade.  We consider ourselves lucky to be able to count on her insight and experience in operating USNA-Net^®.

Melanie Shong Helm - Administrative Advisor

Melanie is a graduate of Michigan State University, with a degree in Marketing, having taught at the College level along with a career in Human Resources.  Prior to settling down with her family, her career forced her to move 11 times.

She is a single mom of three teens.  Her oldest son, Midn. Alan Helm ('09) is majoring in Aerospace Engineering at USNA with a minor in Spanish to keep his 7 years of Spanish fresh and ready to use in his career.

Her other son, Jarrett, plans on pursuing his dreams of becoming a paleontologist.  He already has several significant finds that have been tracked by satellite and named for him on his resume.  Her daughter, Alicia, adores tennis, theater, photography and marine animals and plans to study Marine Biology.

Melanie spends most of her time transporting her teens to and from their various activities including tennis, debate tournaments, and theater rehearsals.  She is a staunch Navy fan, with several family members who were career Navy and dreams of one day having a sailboat again and living on the water.
