Superintendent’s and Commandant's Welcome Aboard/Parents’ Forum - at Alumni Hall - Reception immediately following for parents and guests of the Class of 2011. The Superintendent, Commandant of Midshipmen, Academic Dean and Provost, Dean of Admissions, Director of Athletics, Director of Admissions, Division Directors, Senior Chaplain, Chairs of Academic Departments and other senior Academy officials, as well as Battalion Officers, Company Officers, and Senior Enlisted Leaders for the 2007-2008 academic year, will be present to meet with parents and answer questions.

Noon formation in Tecumseh Court Town liberty begins for the Class of 2011 after formation and expires at 10:00 p.m. (Inclement weather: canceled.)

12:15 p.m.

Midshipmen meet with parents at prearranged places (alphabetical signs) positioned along Stribling Walk.  (Inclement weather: Alumni Hall).  Late arrivals may leave a message for midshipmen at Main Office, Bancroft Hall.

12:20 p.m.

Noon meal in Dahlgren Hall for midshipmen and their guests who have purchased tickets in advance.

12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Tour of Bancroft Hall and visit midshipmen’s rooms.  Plebe Summer Company Officers and Midshipman Chain of Command present in company areas to meet parents.

1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m

Academy’s Yard Patrol Craft (YP) available for visiting at Farragut Field seawall.

1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Recreational sailing in Navy 26s (B/B+ qualification required) for midshipmen and families.  Check out boats from Vandergrift Cutter Shed.  All persons must be at least 8 years of age and have ability to swim. (Weather permitting).

7:30 p.m.

Jewish Sabbath Service, Levy Chapel.
