This Memory Quilt is pieced, embroidered and appliqued. All of the patches of summer block locations are embroidered and the class crest is solid satin stitch. The Trident is cross-stitch. The Navy Crest is appliqued. Notice that one corner of the quilt has Plebe things-- pieced Plebe hat, Reef Points, and the actual neckerchief that was worn and never untied. The other corner has shoulder boards and one of the covers was taken apart and worked into the design. The border has United States on one side and Naval Academy on the other. The top of the quilt has his name and the bottom border has Class of 2005.
