It is our belief that a Midshipman should never have to worry about a place to stay, a place to sleep or be without access to a ride when an emergency occurs.

With this in mind, USNA-Net has made arrangements with Parents across the country who have agreed in advance to make themselves and their homes available when needed by a Midshipman who may be away from the Academy and who needs assistance.

Instructions for Volunteers:

    If you wish to participate as a Safe Harbor® home, you must be willing to reasonably accommodate the needs of any Midshipman who may find him/herself in your area regardless of the time of day or the convenience of their request. You may not charge a Mid for providing room &/or board, transportation or other service on a temporary basis.

    We need many parents from every location because we never know in advance who might be unavailable or how many Mids may find themselves in need.

Midshipmen...

    This is a FREE service available to ANY Midshipman or recent Grad.  Please make sure you have our card (below) in your wallet when you travel and PLEASE be sure to pass on this information to all of your Classmates.  A nationwide assistance program isn't much good if you can't reach us when you need us.
